After meeting your guide, begin your food tour around different sectors of Wellington's culinary industry to learn how things work and enjoy a few tastings.

Start with a professional coffee roaster who tells you about his passion for the culture of coffee and art of roasting. Receive a coffee tasting, and then continue to a supplier of Asian products from Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, China, and more.

Next, visit a cheese importer to learn about and taste a variety of international cheeses, and then head to an Indian spice shop to sample a range of Indian sweets and learn about spices and rices. Stop by a chocolatier for samples of homemade chocolates; explore a popular food emporium to taste foods from around the world; and end the day with a craft beer or wine tasting at Wellington's oldest hotel.
