We'll take you jet boating, walking, to The Bridge to Nowhere, treat you to great food, and give you a good insight into life on the Whanganui River. See spectacular natural scenery, enjoy great food, organic coffee, and fun company, come with us - Brent and Claire Firmin, your proud tangata whenua hosts. Let us share with you the Whanganui River our way. We can take you to The Bridge to Nowhere or The Flying Fox, or on a jet boat tour with canoe option, either in 2 person canoes, or in a 20 person waka, a great cultural experience. We can also tailor trips to your requirements - perhaps you would like to have a picnic on the riverbank. We'll find a lovely spot to boil the billy. Just let us know, and we will come up with a little treat. There is so much of the Whanganui River that is only accessible by water and our jet boat is the way to do it! Have a great day out in a small group. "Ko au te awa, ko te awa ko au" - I am the river, the river is me. Bridge to Nowhere Discovery Tour If your wish is to see as much of the Whanganui River as possible in one day, then this is the trip for you. This is the only 6 hour Bridge to Nowhere tour. We stop along the way to learn the history of the Awa (river). Havoc at the Fox This trip is ideal if you don't have all day, or if you don't want to drive too far afield. Once we reach The Flying Fox, take a stroll around the organic gardens and marvel at the workmanship of the two quaint handmade cottages. When the kettle boils, we will gather on the verandah overlooking the Whanganui River, and relax enjoying Havoc coffee with delicious freshly baked muffins. If you wish, stay at The Flying Fox overnight or longer. Your Hosts Brent and Claire Brent is from the brooding Whanganui River, and Claire from the sparkling Manganui O Te Ao, and just as these two great rivers meet, so have we! Now together we love to host our visitors to a great time on the Whanganui River - fantastic scenery, great food, good fun, and everlasting memories.
