The River Journey Experience
Your jet boating adventure begins from 99 Ardmore, Wanaka. Here you will be met by shuttle and embark on the first leg of your jet boat tour, a 20 minute scenic drive around the shores of lake Wanaka.
The jet boat base is at the entrance to a spectacular gorge on the Matukituki River. Here you will meet your guide and board the jet boat for the ultimate River Journey. Travel past Rocky Hill where scenes from Lord of The Rings were filmed as you jet boat toward Mount Aspiring National Park, part of Te Wahipounamu, South West New Zealand World Heritage Area.
A unique wilderness jet boating experience: Explore the braided channels of this pristine river; execute spin turns in deep pools. Stop for photo opportunities of Mount Aspiring and her glaciers. Learn from your guide about the natural forces that created this amazing landscape.
Yet another highlight of this adventure tour is a 50 minute guided wilderness walk alongside a mountain stream to a waterfall. Enjoy the tranquility of native beech forest before returning downriver by jet boat. This optional nature walk is suitable for people of all ages.

Aspiring Glacier Journey
The Aspiring Glacier Journey is a great opportunity to capture a close up look at the huge glacial area beneath Mount Aspiring with this unique combination of jet boating, helicopter scenic flight, glaciers and wilderness walk.
Travel by jet boat on the Matukituki River, past Rocky Hill where scenes from Lord of The Rings were filmed, toward Mount Aspiring National Park. Passengers are met from the jet boat by Aspiring Helicopters for a scenic flight into one of our area's most dramatic areas of ice and snow, the spectacular Avalanche and Rob Roy Glaciers.
See hanging valleys where glaciers once lay and waterfalls that cascade from under giants of ice into the streams and rivers that feed into the Matukituki River. During this unique New Zealand glacier tour experience a high altitude snow landing overlooking Mount Aspiring and the glaciers that surround her.
Disembark the helicopter for photos before flying down into the Matukituki Valley to join the guided wilderness walk and return leg of the Jet Boat tour.
