WELCOME To Tairua, our slice of paradise...
Tairua Dive & Fishinn is the only Dive & Fishing operation in town backed up by an Established Shop Front and fully Accredited PADI Dive Center & Fishing Tackle Store, offering top service and friendly faces and a hot cuppa on your return and if your lucky maybe a cray on the BBQ.
Tairua - Location
Auckland City, Hamilton and Tauranga are all a 2 hour scenic drive to Tairua. An ideal central location for all holiday makers. A wonderful holiday spot with plenty of local accommodation, galleries, clothes shops, cafe, restaurants and bars.

- Scuba Diving
Scuba Dive The Alderman Islands on our specially built 7.8mtr Laser Craft, Scuba Diver. Snorkeling or just sightseeing around one of our beautiful off-shore islands. Scientific research trips, spear fishing and cray hunts are just some of our special charters available.
- Fishing
Maybe you would prefer fishing the high seas in our stable Island Cat.
Island cat is MNZ and SSM certified, and is a fast, comfortable 8.5m Noosa Cat Stable seriously designed, commercial vessel; we have an on board toilet, modern electronics, and lots of deck area to land all your catch. Your skipper Tony is both nationally and internationally qualified, with 40 years experience in commercial and recreational saltwater fishing. Not to mention 15 years Marine Rescue experience most as Chief Skipper.
Tairua Dive and Fishinn provides a number of fishing adventures for beginners to the very experienced fishing guru.
Fishing trips are organized personally with the groups booking so locations, Type of fish and type of challenge will differ each time you go out with us.
You have the option to come back to the shop and have your catch filleted & bagged for you or cooked on the BBQ for a family lunch or dinner - while you relax with a cuppa or a beer.
We specialise in Snapper and Kingfish, for half or full day trips. There are however by catches of John Dory Terahki, Golden Snapper and Hapuka.
- Kayaking or Scenic Trips
Or just hire a kayak for a scenic paddle around the picturesque Tairua Harbour.
- Diving Courses
PADI Diving courses are available from a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre on site starting from the minute you walk in. The courses are conducted by A PADI Instructor Development Course Staff Instructor. We have courses to take you from non diver to a fully qualified dive guide and instructor as well specialty courses plus specially designed school programs for extra curricular activities.

Do you have a group you would like to reward or challenge? At Tairua Dive and Fishinn we can organize your day out to suit your needs and wants.
- Custom Tours Lazing on a private beach * hiking through uncluttered bushland * BBQ meal cooked and served on a private beach * Doing a challenging task e.g. survivor style AND all just two hours from Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.

I have dived & fished all over the world, and I am now offering personally designed tours & packages on the Coromandel Peninsular for you to enjoy. Just tell me what YOU want to achieve and we will do our best to put it together for YOU. From diving the depths of Len's reef to catching the odd cray to that special Kodak Moment (Just have cameras ready) or catching a Kahwai off the jetty to Mahi Mahi, Wahoo & Blue and Black Marlin (in season) or anywhere in the world. And don't forget Snapper and the mighty Kingfish, the waters off Tairua and the Aldermans are some of the best in the country for Snapper and Kingfish."
