The unique geothermal muds and waters of Rotorua are renowned for their curative and invigorating properties, and this is particularly so at "Hells Gate" - Rotorua's most active thermal park. Wai Ora Spa Facility is where visitors can experience the unique geothermal mud and sulphurous waters in privacy as well as in a totally unique environment.
Wai Ora Spa Private Mud Baths
There are three private mud baths in the Wai Ora ("Healthy Waters") Spa Facility - one family and two three-person baths each containing in excess of 70-100kgs of the finest geothermal muds in both suspended and solid form. After your mud bath, visitors can then go into the "North Island" shaped sulphur spa or the deeper "South Island" shaped sulphur spa, both with their own hot water falls to relax and revitalize.
The traditional mud bath experience, followed by the relaxing sulphur spa overlooking the geothermal reserve, provides visitors with a completely unique geothermal experience.
The silky smooth geothermal mud in combination with the sulphurous geothermal water opens the skins pores allowing the active ingredients to gently exfoliate and treat the skin while in the spa leaving it very clean and soft to touch.
Other effects include increased blood circulation and a sense of overall well being. A spa experience that truly refreshes and revitalises the mind and body.
