If you don't wish to walk, there is the option of travelling to each lodge by water taxi. 4/5 DAY GUIDED AND UNGUIDED WALKS - Queen Charlotte Track The Queen Charlotte Track (71 km, 40 miles) is a well maintained path with the majority of the streams bridged and has a variety of gradients and surfaces with a wide, compact base. A reasonable level of fitness is required to walk The Queen Charlotte Track, although there are options available if you wish to travel by water taxi from each lodge on any given day of the walk. You only need to carry a light day bag containing your camera, lunch and water bottle as your overnight luggage is transferred by water taxi each day. The beauty of The Queen Charlotte Track is that it can be walked any season as the Marlborough Sounds enjoys a mild, temperate climate throughout the year. This truely is a walk to enjoy, not endure. 4/5 Day Walking Holidays Include:
1 DAY GUIDED WALK AND BOAT CRUISE Visit a protected wildlife island. Walk part of the Queen Charlotte Track. Inludes lunch, boat cruise and guide. 3 DAY ADVENTURE: GUIDED WALK, CHARTER FISHING TRIP, FLOAT PLANE SIGHTSEEING. Day 1 begins with a boat cruise to the start of the track followed by a guided walk to your well appointed, sea view accommodation. Day 2 A relaxed day fishing on a chartered launch. Massage/spa option for those that do not choose to go fishing Day 3 Take a scenic tour of the sounds by float plane on your way back to Picton THE CAPE CAMPBELL WALKWAY. 4 days and 4 nights on New Zealands undiscovered coastal path.
