Your trip starts in Kaiteriteri next to the boat ramp.  Once the trip starts you will experience the cultural elements associated with waka, which includes a mihi whakatau (welcome greeting). Everyone will learn to introduce themselves, understand paddle commands and participate in a waka salute, all in te reo Māori. A fun and uplifting environment is created within the waka.

Once we leave Kaiteriteri we paddle north towards Toka Ngawhā Split Apple Rock, stopping from time to time for the guide to share some of the Māori history of the area.  We will stop at Toka Ngawhā for some light refreshment, time to swim, or relax on the beach.  From there we head back to Kaiteriteri to finish the experience by 12noon.
