The Waitati Seasider is an exciting trip which takes passengers on the spectacular section of coastal railway line between Dunedin and Oamaru and operates on frequent days throughout the summer season. This is a must-do rail trip in New Zealand! Dates are on our brochure and bookings can be made for Groups and FITs. Run multiple times daily over the summer months of October to April, The Waitati Seasider is perfect for people who have limited time in the city.

Departing from the world famous Dunedin Railway Station, The Waitati Seasider travels down Otago Peninsula, weaving it's away along clifftops of magnificent heights before passing through dense native bush, only to emerge at the breathataking panorama of Blueskin Bay!

**Passengers are given to option to be dropped off in Port Chalmers before returning to Dunedin Railway Station, giving tourists visiting Dunedin via cruise ship the chance to see see 'real New Zealand' with the piece of mind that they won't miss their boat!**

Total Trip Duration: 1:30 hours

This is a "must do" section of New Zealand railway and is suited to locals and tourist alike!
