A absolute paradise for people who love the outdoors. The trips range in duration from four days and are a mix of the best elements and adventures that the South Island can offer. The Hanmer Cycle Trail The Hanmer Cycle Trail is an exciting four day guided cycle experience that takes you through the stunning Waipara Valley wine region of North Canterbury to the South Island's alpine village, Hanmer Springs. You will enjoy spectacular views of the picturesque Waipara River Gorge, Balmoral Forest, Pahau Plains and Hanmer. The overall cycling distance is 170kms. The cycling is on easy terrain and no previous cycling experience is needed. Cycles are available for hire. The Tekapo Canal Trail The Tekapo Canal Trail is a four day leisurely paced cycle adventure! Pedal alongside the picturesque glacial lakes under the watchful eye of the mighty Mount Cook - New Zealand's highest mountain! Enjoy stretches of flat cycling on the canal roads as you explore the rich and diverse landscape of the Mackenzie Country. The distance is approximately 140kms, but you can do more (or less) if you wish - due to the flexibility of being supported by an accompanying vehicle and guide. Features of the cycle trail include: Quality lodge accommodation on all three nights. All meals for the duration of the trip (alcohol at your expense). A well trained and experienced guide Flexible biking options so that you can make use of the support vehicle whenever you choose to. You can ride at your own leisurely pace with the usual option being to cycle approximately 40 - 50 kms per day. All your bike maintenance taken care of. Bike hire is available. Your trip is guided and your bags are transported for you - all you will need each day is a small day pack with your camera and some water.
