Adrenalin Forest in Christchurch is an adventure and playing field in the heart of the forest. Adrenalin Forest is a tree to tree aerial pathway, with high wires, bridges, flying foxes and much more. A fun entertainment for the whole family or as part of a group, it is a test against gravity, balance and agility!
Adrenalin Forest is a series of 5 aerial pathways (80 challenges) of increasing height and difficulty, ranging from 1.5 to 17 meters high, and is suitable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. It is challenging by choice, meaning you can stop at any time. It is a great team building activity,encourages teamwork, balance and confidence, and is ideal for birthday parties and family fun.
Picnic tables are available for use, making it a great outing for groups.
Background
Created in France in 1995 by a retired army officer, the concept is inspired by his extensive use of army training courses. He adapted the courses to provide a fun and challenging experience, and the concept was immediately popular. In the following 5 to 6 years around twenty parks were created mainly in the South-East of France and around tourist centres.
In the last 3 years the creation of parks has reached 500. Many are located in the mountains but also near the main cities of France. Now, the concept is spreading over the world with some in Canada, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, South America and even one in Australia.
Safety
The safety of participants is our highest priority. We are committed to enabling everyone to experience the thrills and challenges of the course while maintaining a safe environment.
All of the parks safety systems are checked daily, independent safety audits are carried out several times each season, and all of our instructors are fully trained and undergo regular safety assessments.
Everyone can experience the thrills and challenges of the course while being securely attached to the safety wire at all times. Participants recieve a detailed safety briefing before entering the course.
It is recommended that covered sports shoes be worn, and we supply you with gloves.
