An unforgettable two night adventure from the Bay of Islands to Auckland. On the first day we sail through the numerous islands the Bay of Islands is so famous for around Cape Brett and The Hole in the Rock (just as Captain James Cook did in 1764). For the first night's anchorage, one of the sheltered harbours at either Tutukaka, Whangaruru, Whangamumu or sometimes the Bay of Islands is chosen, depending on conditions, sail to the spectacular Poor Knights Islands, weather permitting take the opportunity to snorkel in this marine reserve recognized as one of the top ten dive sites in the world. Next morning, sail past the Hen and Chickens, Sail Rock, Cape Rodney, Takatu Peninsula and Maori Rock. Overnight in gorgeous Bon Accord Harbour, the barbeque is fired up and there is ample opportunity to head ashore and learn about some of New Zealand's richest history on Kawau Island. On the final day, sail through the Tiri passage, across the 2003 America's Cup race course, sail past Rangitoto, a dormant volcano and then sail up the busy Auckland harbour.
