Do you know, that Auckland is situated in narrowest part of the North Island?
Thus the calm beaches of Hauraki Gulf on the East are just a 40 minutes drive from the black sands of the rough and wild West Coast.
Yes, these two shores are dramatically different, and this is what we will explore, together with everything inland on our way in between, including:
- scenic beach and nature walks
- wine tasting
- coffee break
- some adventure elements
- great photos opportunities
This tour aims to give you the best of taste of this enjoyable and pretty unique life style, which NZ's "clean and green" nature, in combination with well developed urban infrastructure, provides us here. Designed with great dedication by a traveller/adventurer/nature-lover/activity-man for like people.
We try to stay away of tourist crowds to let you immerse into "normal, everyday" local environment, while having a fun New Zealand discovery day with lots of memorable things, and photos.
In small, private-size groups, we will walk on beaches, explore tracks, stop for rest with sceneries or/and refreshments, learn about local history and nature, and try to spice it all with some extras, whether it'll be orchard seasonal fruit self-picking, activities (swimming, barefoot running, climbing, souvenirs buying, ... paragliding) or something else, we figure out from your likes/hobbies.
Base plan is
- Meeting at Albany (Auckland's Northern suburb) bus station
- Driving to one of West Coast (WC) beaches
- Doing a scenic track on WC
- Returning back to East Coast with a winery or coffee stop
- Exploring few of East Coast bays with a picnic and nature walk options
Conditional hotel pickup for a group of 3+ people is possible. However I would still recommend meeting in Albany, as this provides us with better options to fulfil your C2C experience.
