We invite you to a magical place of astounding beauty and unspoilt wilderness. Westhaven is a private peninsular of 1000 acres, a hidden paradise where you can peacefully restore you physical and mental wellbeing. Discover the pure natural beauty of nature with a variety of scenery and landscape in a setting that is out of the ordinary. Nestles amidst this abundant natural sanctuary, is our lovely cottage. Recharge your batteries in beautiful surroundings and stroll along on the endless secluded beaches. The Estuary is a protected reserve and home to many birds and other rare wildlife. We have many visitors here, ranging from seals and dolphins to the very naughty kea. There are wonderful tracks for you to explore through native bush and rainforests, along ridges overlooking the entire Whanganui Inlet. You are welcome to go fishing, dive for lobster and search for paua. We can also arrange horse riding, jet kayaking and boat charters. The Holiday House Wake up and take in the peaceful view of the entire Whanganui Inlet from the cottage. It is specifically designed for its unique location, to fully enjoy all the natural beauty and variety of scenery and landscapes here at Westhaven. This charming holiday house is perfect for just a couple or for the whole family. The Cottage is spacious and modern with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. There is also a double pull out couch for the kids. Feel at home in the large comfortable lounge with the fire place to keep you cosy. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, fridge and microwave, should you wish to cook. However, we also have a reputation for fine food. We would be delighted to cook a three course dinner for you, from tasty vegetarian, classic seafood, to the most exquisite European cuisine - the options are almost unlimited.
