Welcome to Ardgour Strawbale Bed & Breakfast. Situated in a peaceful valley near Tarras, Cromwell and Wanaka, and surrounded by stunning mountain views our delightful semi detached strawbale cottage overlooks our olive grove and local farmland. It offers privacy in two adjoining, self contained units both with en-suites. Ideal for singles, couples, families or friends.
Ardgour Bed & Breakfast is situated in the Ardgour Valley 7km South East of the village of Tarras on Highway 8. It is a 30min drive from Wanaka, 20 mins from Cromwell, one hour from Queenstown and 40mins from Alexandra and the famed Otago Rail Trail. It is only 10 mins from superb fishing spots and boating on Lake Dunstan and approximately an hours drive to some of New Zealand's best ski fields.
Guest Accommodation and Facilities
Both of the units are self contained. One unit has the choice of two very comfortable King Singles or Super King Bed, the other unit has an equally comfortable King sized bed. An adjoining door links the two, making it ideal for families or friends. Each unit also provides a leather settee, cooking and dining facilities.

The cottage garden provides a relaxing atmosphere with fantastic rural and mountain views. It includes BBQ facilities and a small shop offering a variety of pre-packed easily prepared meal options, wine, olive oil (from our grove) fresh garden produce and local crafts.
Breakfast and Dining
To enable you to relax and enjoy breakfast at your leisure we provide breakfast hampers. A combination of bread, local fruit, cereal, muffins, yoghurt, croissants, spreads and a selection of teas and coffee. Bacon and/or eggs on request.
Cooking facilities are provided as is a large BBQ. In house "shop" provides easy to prepare meal ingredients and local wines.

We have lived in this beautiful area for 10 years. We are both widely travelled and have been partners in both local and international travel companies which has seen us spend considerable time abroad. Now settling into semi retirement we enjoy the ongoing contact with travellers and the opportunity to share their passion. We enjoy our lifestyle block, olive grove and gardening in general and look forward to sharing this special part of New Zealand with you.
Tariff: NZ$160.00 per night per room or complete unit for $300.00. Discount for stays exceeding 3 nights.
