Glenmac is a high country merino sheep and beef cattle farm spread over 1583 hectares. Hosts Keith and Kaye welcome you warmly into their home and know that you will enjoy a relaxing holiday experience on their working farm with access to plenty of walking, historical sites, horse trekking and with the Southern Lakes District within a couple of hours drive!
Nestled in the quiet, but stunning Waitaki Valley, the family farm is 60km's from Oamaru and 14km's from Kurow township. There is much to see and do both on farm and in the area - including Horse Treks, tramping, mountain biking, fishing, fossil trail, penguins, lakes and much more to help you plan a great holiday.
Our Bed and Breakfast accommodation is a great way to experience the fun of farm life without any of the hard work involved! Ensuite and shared bathroom guest rooms are available and guests can choose from just B&B lodgings or upgrade to our bed, breakfast and dinner package.

Families are always welcome at Glenmac and with our selection of outdoor pursuits there is plenty of activity to keep the entire family entertained. Evenings can be spent relaxing in the family living room, watching TV, reading a magazine or playing cards.
Rural holidays are a wonderful opportunity for overseas tourists to experience life on a genuine 'Kiwi' farm and an enjoyable way for New Zealanders to participate in a unique vacation. Tour the farm at your leisure, watch professional sheep shearers hard at work (seasonal), laugh at the playful antics of lambs during Spring and marvel at the speed and intelligence of our friendly sheep dogs as they help muster the sheep.
If you love nature you'll love Glenmac farmstay with wonderful photography opportunities galore! Imagine lying in the fresh, lush evening grass, gazing up into the clear night sky at the bright stars above, they feel so close that you believe you can reach out and touch them!
Our location and farm access is easy to navigate via road. Bus transportation to Glenmac is provided by Citibus, which leaves Dunedin and travels to Mt Cook and return daily. Citibus picks up and drops off passenger along the way as required, including Oamaru, Duntroon, Kurow (Glenmac Farmstay), Otematata, Omarama, Twizel, Glentanner and Mt Cook YHA or village. The Magic Bus will also drop off and pick up at Glenmac.
