"The Ferns" is located within thirty minutes of Auckland Airport and twenty minutes from the central city. A short stroll takes you to vibrant Titirangi Village cafes and a nature trail opposite leads to a peaceful bay. "The Ferns" offers accommodation in a separate self contained guest cottage 'The Chalet' with continental breakfast provisions supplied on arrival date for your first morning. Cafes are only a few minutes walk so there is no need to get back in the car. There is a supermarket closeby to purchase additional provisions for extended stays. 'The Chalet' has its own cooking facilities, laundry, two bedrooms, one superking size bed (photo displayed),one double bed, spa bath, underfloor heating, satellite TV, telephone, internet connection, heating and security system. Complimentary breakfast provisions are supplied on arrival day or by arrangement. For advance bookings there is a minimum stay of 5 nights. Housekeeping is weekly or by arrangement. Rates are discounted for longer stays. The Chalet is not suitable for toddlers. Village cafés and a supermarket are a few minutes stroll from "The Ferns" through a charming forest walkway. Opposite is a trail leading to Titirangi Beach, a bayside reserve of the Manukau Harbour. A short scenic drive takes you to peaceful beaches of the Manukau harbour or the dramatic black sand beaches of the West Coast and movie locations of "The Piano", "Zena" and "The Young Hercules". Throughout this magical wilderness there are 200 kilometres of paths, tracks, and trails leading to charming picnic spots, meandering rainforest streams and waterfalls, or to the tops of cliffs with stunning views over the Tasman Sea. | ||||||||
