Welcome to friendly farmstay accommodation and fabulous fishing. The farmstay is a 4 bedroom, fully equipped cottage with king, queen and king single beds, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and dining rooms.Two renowned trout fishing rivers (the Waihou and Waimakariri) are on the farm and both are very well known for their plentiful stocks of good sized trout.
Three bedrooms and a bathroom are available in the main residence, which is a modern, brick home. There is also a Jacuzzi in private grounds for your use.
The farmstay is situated on rolling countryside and is only five minutes from Tirau which boasts a large variety of unique shops, cafes and restaurants.
This is an excellent place to use as your base - sightsee during the day and relax and fish later. It is a working dairy farm with 225 cows on 75 hectares of attractive, rolling country.

Two renowned trout fishing rivers (the Waihou and Waimakariri) are on the farm. The New Zealand trout fishing team is selected on this farm and numerous fishing competitions are held here.
Between the 26th and 28th March 2008, this farm hosted two sections of the very successful 28th FIPS-Mouche World Fly Fishing Championships.The most fish in a three hour session (37) were caught here on this farm. It was a record for the amount of fish caught in a World Fly Fishing Competition with 4,270 fish caught over the three days.
The fish were counted on this farm professionally by men in wet suits with counting equipment etc. and 1000 fish were counted in one kilometre! The fishing is superb!
Both rainbow trout and brown trout are caught here. The fishing is year round -and just a few minutes walk from the farmstay.
The limit is 5 fish per day. A licence is required. We have a computer available for you to purchase licenses directly from Fish and Game New Zealand's website using your credit card.
An experienced guide is available if required.
