Welcome to Orchard View Homestay. We provide comfortable, modern and homely accommodation. Located in Hurunui Lane, off Whangamata Road, we are only a few minutes from Kinloch village and Whangamata Bay, giving our guests easy access to both Taupo and Kinloch - with many events happening all year round. Set in open farmland, Orchard View offers its guests a quiet and picturesque outlook, with the chance to feed the sheep, lambs and chooks if they so wish. Excellent Location: Kinloch is located just west of Taupo, at the northern most point of the lake, and Orchard View can be found just off the main road between the townships, secluded, yet an excellent distance to take advantage of all Lake Taupo has to offer. As well as the many restaurants in Taupo, Kinloch also offers dining at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club, The Cottage Café and the Tipsy Trout. Accommodation Features:
Kinloch and Whangamata Bay have lots to offer, with its new marina for boating and sailing, several boat ramps and beach with easy access for kayaking and water sports. Taupo has a number of jet boats rides, including the exhilarating Rapid Jets, and provides a wide variety of activities on the Lake ranging from fishing, parasailing, skydiving and sailing. Taupo also has the Bungy Jump over the Waikato River. Kinloch and Taupo have numberous mountain bike trails, and as keen mountain bikers we would be happy to assist in bike hire etc. Mt Ruapehu with Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields, just over an hour away, providing great skiing from June 20th to November (conditions permitting). If you need skis and equipment then Taupo and the resorts can provide you with anything. | ||||||
