Natural, endless therapeutic water bubbling from 52 metres below ground from a river that is been there for centuries. It is widely known that hot mineral water has healing and sought-after relaxing properties that can literally soothe away aches and pains or those busy work day stresses. You have the luxury and freedom of filling your own mineral pool in your apartment or studio unit. With curative mineral elements such as sodium, calcium and sulphate, combined with potassium and magnesium, mineral water can assist in healing and helping anything from skin irritations to giving your body excellent internal composition and stability. Guest Accommodation Lakefront Motor Lodge Thermal Spa has a total of 17 non-smoking inside units and we can cater for all levels of accommodation. We have a range of facilities and services to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Our rooms range from studios that can sleep 1-2 people, to two bedroom apartments that can sleep up to 7 people. All beds have electric blankets and all linen and towels are supplied. All rooms have Sky Digital TV, cooking facilities (larger rooms have full kitchen facilites) and some rooms have their own private mineral baths. We have two large indoor mineral/thermal Pools (jacuzzi) to relax in, and an outdoor heated swimming pool. We have a covered barbecue area, children's play area, off-street parking, and small dogs are very welcome! There are three nice and affordable restaurants only five minutes' walk away, and we provide cooked and continental breakfasts. Lake Taupo Activities Lake Taupo is unique, spectacular and boasts some of the most beautiful rivers and streams in the world. It is renowned for the amazing lake activities on offer, sporting events it hosts, and entertainment of all descriptions from relaxing on the lake in pursuit of a trophy trout to skydiving from 12,000 feet. This picture perfect part of New Zealand has something for everyone. Taupo offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes, art galleries and shops-both national brand stores, and boutique speciality shops. The fishing is exceptional,and there are wide range of exciting outdoor adventures, from gliding and skydiving to rafting, kayaking and sailing, to name a few! Taupo is also at the centre of New Zealand's volcanic plateau. The area contains numerous parks where you can wander among geysers, mud pools, and colourful pink and white terraces formed by the silica in the thermal water.
