Situated in Sumner, the popular beach resort 20 minutes from Central Christchurch, Le Petit Hotel B & B guests benefit from its unique sheltered location, adjacent to the sandy, north facing beach of Sumner Bay. Surrounded by the rural countryside of Banks Peninsula, the suburb enjoys a mild warm microclimate, and the healthy environment of clean, fresh, sea air. Numerous cafes and restaurants near the hotel will satisfy all tastes.
Architecturally designed, the new boutique B&B hotel provides 6 French styled and furnished bedrooms, each complete with ensuite facilities and an individual balcony with sea views or terrace areas on the ground floor. European accommodation comfort assured: cool in Sumner and warm in winter. Other design features include shuttered French doors and windows, flag stone flooring in the hotel dining salon/lounge, and a common area for guests to relax in.

In keeping with Euro style accommodation, all rooms in the private hotel are double glazed, have tiled en-suites, and are equipped with centrally heated water radiators for comfort and convenience. All rooms are wool carpeted and individually furnished with comfortable beds and quality linen.
Free WiFi and LAN cable broadband internet access is provided in all rooms, while IP telephones and FTA TV satellite receivers are standard facilities. An email service laptop is also available to guests on request.
A complimentary daily French breakfast with freshly baked croissants, is served to guests in the hotel's comfortable petit salon or alternatively during the Summer, on the adjacent garden terrace & patio.

Scarborough, Clifton Bay beach, Redcliffs and the nearby estuary, provide for all water sports including kite boarding, surfing, and sailing.
The immediate Sumner area also offers a variety of easy but spectacular coastal cliff top and peninsula hill walkways and mountain bike tracks.
