Situated 5 minutes easy stroll to the main village of Oban, Kowhai Lane Holiday Home is ideal for your Stewart Island Adventure! This four bedroom, spacious home is an affordable base to experience the magic of Stewart Island. PLEASE NOTE..... Kowhai Lane is now packaged with a "Sails" Guided Ulva Exploration walk and the tariff less a 15% discount for this will be added to the first night accommodation. With 4 double rooms Kowhai Lane can be either a single room booking with shared kitchen/lounge areas or as a whole of house booking for your family or group of friends. All rooms have ensuite facilities so you won't be queuing for the bathroom. Three are king/king singles and the fourth is a queen. There is lots of room for all with both large lounge and dining room. Two guest lounges allow space to relax and enjoy the view and the extensive library of local interest books and DVDS. All rooms were fully renovated with ensuite bathrooms and new carpet installed during the winter of '04 and are very well appointed, as you would expect from a Qualmark 4 star rating. The kitchen is well appointed with all modern conveniences, including a dishwasher. Automatic central heating keeps the outdoors at bay on the chillier days. (No coal fires or range to struggle with). Electric blankets on all beds ensure a great sleep on the coolest of nights. Transfers to and from Kowhai Lane on arrival / departure are free.
