Kaka Retreat - Nature's Paradise sits on a beautiful site near Halfmoon Bay, enabling guests to unwind in the tranquility of Stewart Island. Our luxurious Superior Suites*, sleeping up to two and three persons respectively, provide the perfect haven. The earthy hues inside harmonize with the native setting off the private veranda. Modern and spacious, our suites all feature top-of-the-line decor and conveniences such as flat-screen LCD televisions, deluxe beds, kitchenette and stylish tiled bathroom. * Please note: While our superior studio suites are open for reservations, suites 4,5 and 6 are not yet ranked by Qualmark quality standards. Catering for up to six people, our comfortable two* or three bedroom bungalow units offer the space and privacy to unwind. All units are serviced daily, fully self-contained with modern cooking facilities and feature their own veranda to soak up the serenity of the surrounding bush, which attracts unique New Zealand birds. * Please note: Our two bedroom unit has undergone minor renovations and is not yet ranked by Qualmark quality standards. Rooms are centrally heated and have electric blankets and wool duvets. The extensive range of local activities - from fishing to nature adventures - can be booked at reception.
