Westminster Lodge is a unique farmstay in Rotorua, providing high quality New Zealand accommodation. The Lodge offers large country style bed and breakfast accommodation in semi self contained units, Lodge rooms or self contained cottage, at affordable prices, situated on our farmlet, just 5 minutes from Rotorua city.
A little bit of country in the city, Westminster Lodge is situated on the slopes of Mount Ngongotaha with lovely views over the city and fresh mountain air. At the end of your busy day, you can relax in our Spa Pool which overlooks the city skyline.
If you plan to travel New Zealand, Westminster Lodge offers some of the most affordable Rotorua bed & breakfast accommodation available. Forget those expensive New Zealand travel packages and come and stay in our relaxing home-style surrounds where we make you feel part of the family.
Accommodation
Semi self contained units
Each room has queen bed and couch that opens out to a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. There is a TV, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and tea and coffee making facilities in each room.
Lodge Rooms
"Lake View" - This room can sleep five people and is ideal for a family (queen and three singles)and has a large ensuite bathroom.
"Country View" - This room can sleep three. (queen and one single) with private bathroom or you can also have access to a connecting room which sleeps two (singles). This has its own toilet and washbasin.
Both the above rooms have a shared kitchenette with cooking facilities, plates cutlery, table and chairs, fridge microwave etc.
A continental breakfast is included in the tariff or a scrumptious cooked breakfast in the country kitchen is available at a nominal extra charge.
The Cottage
Nestled into the slopes of Mt Ngongotaha and next to the main lodge is our two bedroom cottage. Westminster Cottage has 180 degrees of stunning views over the city and farmland of Rotorua. The cottage is beautifully decorated and fully self contained with everything for your comfort.
After your activity filled day relax and unwind in front of a blazing fire or snuggle up in your comfy bed with quality pillows and electric blanket during the winter, or stroll around the beautiful gardens, or sit back and enjoy the fresh country air and quiet surroundings in the summer.
Cook your own cuisine or enjoy dining at one of the many restaurants in town only 5 minutes drive from the cottage. The Cottage is fully serviced every day, and access to internet, phone and fax services are available in the lodge.
Things to Do
When you stay at Westminster Lodge, you can wander around the Lodge garden, relax in the formal lounge or just enjoy the privacy of your room.While you are here, view the many wonderful sights and things to do in Rotorua. New Zealand attractions and activities include thermal hot springs, golfing, fishing, scenic walks, beautiful lakes and relaxing in the spa at the end of your day. Your hosts will be delighted to be your guides, providing New Zealand tourist information or arranging tours for you at a small cost.
