Welcome to Country Villa, a beautiful Victorian style villa, built in 1906 and located in Rotorua. With magnificent views of the Lake and a lovely cottage garden, this fully restored and renovated Bed and Breakfast is a delightful place to stay.
Country Villa is an excellent place for rest after a days sight-seeing. With good old fashioned hospitality, a log fire in the guest lounge offers a cosy atmosphere on those cool evenings.
Facilities
Country Villa has a variety of rooms available. Downstairs there are three well appointed queen size double rooms with ensuite (Own bath/shower & toilet). One suitable for the elderly or disabled. (Wheelchair Access).
Upstairs, there is a private two bedroom suite, with private bathroom, small TV room with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
Also available is The Loft, a self contained, open plan unit with kitchenette and private entrance. With twin beds and a sofa bed, this open plan unit can accommodate a total of 3 guests.
All rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with views over the cottage gardens.
Breakfast
Start your day with a delicious breakfast. Breakfast is served in the morning room, with early morning sun streaming through the leadlight windows.
Enjoy Fresh seasonal fruit salad with Anneke's homemade muesli and yoghurt. Try John's freshly baked bread. Also a choice of homemade jams and each morning a "surprise" hot dish of the day.
Fresh coffee and a great selection of teas available.
Things to Do
Rotorua is a beautiful colonial town and is world renowned for its scenery, its culture and it's fabulous geo-thermal landscape. There are innumerable things to see and do in Rotorua! There are a number of Spas where you can soak in the mineral hot pools and indulge yourself with massage and health therapies. Enjoy Rotorua's many Arts and Crafts shops, and a range of excellent restaurants.
If fishing is what you would like to do, Rotorua’s lake and streams provide excellent spots for fishing. Take some time off and treat yourself on a day filled with tranquility, action and fresh food. To ensure a perfect day, get yourself a professional guide. A great fishing guide will collect you from Country Villa and after some exciting hours on the water,will drop you off again, usually with your catch. Your trout can be smoked for you.
For the adventurous, there is white water rafting, bungy jumping,horse trekking and so much more, and it is less than an hours drive to the beautiful beaches at Mt Maunganui.
