Cape View Cottage is a self contained studio unit situated on the north-western boundary of the historic township of Oamaru, on the east coast of the South Island. The cottage sleeps 2, and is set on 100 acres of farm land, 600 metres up a private driveway. Cape View Cottage has stunning views over Oamaru township, the Pacific Ocean and surrounding countryside. Cape View Cottage is 5 minutes drive from the historic precinct and the town centre, with its many restaurants and bars, and is only 6 minutes from the penguin colonies and the harbour area, which is steeped in local history. Your hosts, John and Judy Mackenize both have a vast knowledge of the area, and can advise guests of local attractions and places to visit, depending on their interests. The guests are encouraged to ramble freely over the farm, to enjoy the views and tranquility. Cape View Cottage has an established orchard, bulging with apples, pears, plums, cherries,apricots, greengages and hazelnuts. Judy and John encourage their guests to sample, free of charge, the fruit and vegetables organically grown in their garden. Cottage and Facilities The cottage has wheelchair access, a new queensized bed, an ensuite and cooking facilities including a gas BBQ.
Smoking is permitted outside only. A continental breakfast is provided and the cottage has tea and coffee making facilities and TV. | ||||||
