Nestled high in the Whangaripo Hills of the Matakana wine country district, Clowde Nyne is a romantic cottage perfect for a private getaway. Purpose built for couples or individuals seeking a place for retreat, inspiration, peace and rejuvenation. Tourists can experience the traditional Kiwi BBQ on the deck, local fare, award winning local wines, crafts, pottery, bushwalks and beaches.
Only 90 minutes North of Auckland in the popular and fashionable area of Matakana Wine Country.
When exploring the local area you will discover Beaches, Bush Walks, Cafes,
Restaurants, Vineyards, Golf courses, Art and Craft Markets, Museums, a Boutique Cinema, Nature reserves, and your own personal adventure.
There are many places to choose in the Matakana and surrounding areas for lunch and evening dining, and wine and vineyard tours can be arranged.
We are happy to talk to you about the range of things you can do in the local area. These include: Glass bottom boat rides, Kayaking, Horse riding, Golf course or driving range, Art galleries, Pottery, Markets, Beaches, Bush walks, Shopping, Marine and Animal parks, The Honey Centre, Heritage trails, Antiques, Live Music, Steam Boat rides, Kawau Island Ferry, Tennis, Squash, or Gym facilities, Local movie theatre, Fishing, Local pubs, Live Concerts and Events and fantastic country drives.
We built Clowde Nyne after several years of offering home stay accommodation and services to international tourists.
We wanted to create something further, we envisioned a private, self contained, guest house, surrounded by nature. A place where people could take time out, become inspired, re-connect with each other and find love, peace, and happiness.
Cottage includes: Fresh flowers, candles, incense, bath and bath aromas, oil burner and essential oil, artwork, bath robes, CD player—bring your favourite CD’s, deck is able to be lit for evening dining, magazines and reading material, native bird song, milky way above, quietness that only the countryside can provide.
Gas BBQ, microwave and convection oven, fridge, icebox, toaster, cappuccino and infusion coffee maker, chai tea pot, wine glasses, crockery, utensils, dining table with option of 4 chairs for 2 other guests, deck and outdoor dining facility, fire place, ceiling fan, luxury sheets and bedding, towels, CD player, no TV, video and monitor available upon request, parking, wardrobe and hangers, local area guide and concierge facility.

Breakfast - Gourmet cereal, Fresh Croissants, Organic Milk, Pure Fruit Juice, European Yoghurt, Free Range Eggs, 2 rashers of bacon per person, Ground Coffee, Teas - herbal , green, and black tea, honey from the hives, vegetarian/vegan,gluten free or other dietary needs can be catered for, please inform on booking
Snacks on arrival, freash bread from our local award winning patisserie,camembert or brie cheese from local Puhoi cheese shop,olives,fresh grapes.
Clowde Nyne is also a perfect setting for weddings with the honeymoon cottage, guest catering and entertainment on site.The venue can be dressed any way you wish with outdoor lighting, fixtures, or special effects.
