Welcome to Llandaff Country Residence, a large historic 1880 homestead now operating as a boutique Bed and Breakfast. Enjoy warm, personal hospitality at an elegantly restored country homestead. Llandaff Country Residence is less than 5 minutes to town, vineyards and restaurants, yet is located 1 km off the road in quiet countryside.
Beautifully restored, the homestead boasts beautiful native NZ timbers throughout, wood panelled rooms, polished floors, open fireplaces, and a cosy wood-burning kitchen stove.
Facilities
Enjoy a country cooked breakfast before exploring the old farm hayloft and stables, washhouse, produce shed, gardener's shed, pavilion and dovecote. Soak up the peaceful country atmosphere, relax in the majestic garden beneath 120 year old trees, or wander the farm and feed the animals. Cricket, croquet and petanque sets are available for use on the lawns.
Enjoy a country cooked breakfast. Dinner, specialising in country comfort food, is provided on request. Also enjoy a country picnic lunch, packed for your day of exploring the Wairarapa.

Llandaff Country Residence is less than 5 minutes to town, vineyards and restaurants, but is located 1 km off the road in quiet countryside. The residence gives peace and tranquillity to the visitor and is still located in the centre of a huge range of Wairarapa pursuits - river and sea fishing, canoeing and swimming, bush and farm walks, horse-riding, garden visits, wine tasting (35 minutes to Martinborough), antiques, crafts, historic places and the National Wildlife Centre (20 minutes away).

Because of the beautiful grounds and majestic historic homestead, Llandaff Country Residence is an ideal venue for a country garden wedding. Enjoy a fabulous wedding banquet in the filtered shade of the trees, or in a marquee on the expansive oval lawn, and say your nuptials in the pavilion, the homestead or under the 120 year old trees.
Llandaff Country Cycle
As a guest of Llandaff Country Residence, enjoy a wonderful day cycling through the beautiful Wairarapa countryside. Stop to view historic churches, an historic Maori Cemetery, local country schools, the country aerodrome, deer, free range hens, sheep and cattle.
A gourmet cyclists delight! Lunch stop is the Solstone Vineyard for wine tasting and a delicious meal at the Slow Food Café. En route and when in season, stop to buy boysenberries, strawberries, apples and pears - all freshly grown from the land.
And much more... Llandaff Country Cycle is a 25km circuit easily accomplished on a leisurely day with numerous stops for viewing, wining and dining.
