Welcome to The Carriage House located in Kerikeri,in the beautiful Bay of Islands. We offer self contained Holiday Home or Bed and Breakfast in a newly built spacious and comfortable self contained cottage with 2 ensuite Kingsize bedrooms.
Accommodation
There are two ensuite bedrooms, one with a large king size bed, which can be converted into two single beds. The other is a comfortable king size bedroom with ensuite bathroom. You have sole occupation of this 2008, tastefully furnished and spacious family holiday accommodation.
The home is situated on a horse breeding farm with horses working daily pulling vintage wagons, drays and gigs. The 25 acre property grazes Clydesdale and Shire Heavy Horses and also some Piebald Gypsy Vanners.
Our Holiday Home is on the waterfront of the Bay of Islands, Kerikeri Inlet. At the bottom of the garden you look over moored yachts and great reflections. If you wish you may bring your own boat or kayak to explore the Bay of Islands, you may keep it on the deepwater jetty overnight.
The Carriage House is only 2 miles from the lovely and historic town of Kerikeri with it's fascinating shops and excellent restaurants.
There is so much to do in the Bay of Islands that we offer holiday accommodation by the week for 2 or 4 persons.
You have the privacy of your own two bedroom cottage with kitchen, yet the owners home is on the farm for advice and assistance to make each day interesting.
A breakfast basket is delivered in the evening if required.
Minimum stay two nights, but with so much to do you will want to stay longer!

The inlet is an historic place where the first Missionaries came from New South Wales to settle in 1820. On the waterfront you can see the oldest house in New Zealand built by the missionaries in 1822 and next to it the Kerikeri Stone Store built in 1836 as a warehouse and a shop.
The Bay of Islands offers gorgeous scenery, a warm climate, lovely beaches and excellent sailing. There are a number of activities and wonderful places to visit that will make your holiday here truly memorable, and your host will be happy to make suggestions and give you advice on how to explore the area.
