Mike and Lynette welcome you to Vista del Sol - or "View of the Sun", a luxury boutique lodge and Spa in Te Horo, the centre of the Kapiti Coast. Vista del Sol provides luxuriously appointed suites and ensuites, with options including twin king singles, californian king and luxury king suites. Vista del Sol is Qualmark 5 star Guest & Hosted and is also Qualmark Enviro Silver rated. Enjoy and relax with the luxury spa, beauty treatments, 3 lounges, dining, library, bar and privacy. Situated one hour north of Wellington and one hour south of Palmerston North. Vista del Sol is a 15 acre property set on thirty thousand year old sand dunes, situated 1 km from the beach. The property faces west to the coast over wetland bush valleys, ancient sand dunes and magnificent sunsets, south-west to Kapiti Island, north over rolling farmland and north-east to the Tararua Mountain ranges. All suites are spacious, extremely comfortable and decorated to a luxurious standard, with superb king size beds, an armchair together with table and chairs, and each accompanied by an impressive ensuite fully tiled in natural earth colors, glassed showers, heated floors, heated mirrors and heated towel rails, complementary soaps, shampoo, conditioners, towels, flowers and more. Internet access is available for all our guests. The Derham Suite has wheelchair access on the ground floor, and a full care ensuite bathroom with handrails and wheelchair access to basin, shower and toilet. A full continental and cooked breakfast is included in your stay at Vista del Sol; wake up to the scent of freshly baked home made bread. There is space for privacy with 3 lounges, library, spa and gardens, or feel free to spend some time with Mike or Lynette, who have wide interests, have travelled extensively in New Zealand and worked internationally for over 20 years. English, Afrikaans and Dutch are spoken with some French and German! Facilities We provide huge spa towels and soft spa robes for you to enjoy your visit to the Island Spa. Soak and relax in the luxurious indoor spa, set in its own room with a separate ensuite 20 meters from the main house.
The Kapiti area has a wonderful climate with high sunshine hours, and there is a wide variety of activites for all interests.
