Diana and Jeff invite you to stay in our stunning New Zealand home - in the heart of Hawkes Bay Wine country; just a 3 minute drive from the charming village of Havelock North set in the foothills of Te Mata Peak.
Havelock House is perfectly located for everything the stunning Hawkes Bay has to offer. Art Deco Napier is only a 20 minute scenic drive, the world famous Gimletts Gravels is only a 10 minute drive, and we are close to Black Barn, Craggy Range, Elephant Hill and Clear View for relaxing lunches and dinners.
Enjoy your own guest wing with large luxury bedrooms, comfortable guest lounge , fabulous swimming pool,tennis court, quiet outside decks and rose gardens.
Our stunning shaded gardens have been described as an oasis - a real paradise -with lots of bird song, shady gum and palm trees.
A delicious cooked breakfast using fresh local Hawkes Bay produce, and eggs from our own hens, is served on individual tables overlooking the gardens.
Guest Rooms and Accommodation
Havelock House incorporates the best of both worlds, it is spacious and modern but incorporates many interesting features. The property has great charm - we even have our own Art Deco window. All our rooms are quietly situated in their own wing of the house and have wonderful garden vistas. 2 King double ensuite and 1 King twin ensuite rooms available. Our large Havelock suite can also be booked as a family room.Guest fridge and games room with full sized snooker table.
Havelock Suite
Enter through double doors to a fabulously spacious suite with everything you could imagine - large ensuite with double spa bath and separate shower, fireplace, two seater sofa, King size bed with quality linen and fluffy towels. Flat screen TV and DVD. Room refreshments provided - tea/coffee/ wine glasses etc.
Hastings Suite
A large twin bedded room with two king-size single beds this room can also be made up into a Kind double - please specify when booking,overlooking the garden and tennis court. The room has a large spacious bathroom with both shower and bath; flat screen TV/DVD,hospitality tray. Relax on the window seat to enjoy the garden view with its many native New Zealand and Australian trees and varied bird life.
Napier Suite
New spacious King double ensuite room with lage ensuite shower / toilet and wash basin. TV/DVD,hospitality tray and garden views.
Guest Lounge On the same floor we have a large guest lounge with log fires in the winter and tourist information and books on Hawkes Bay, the wineries and local visitor attractions for you to enjoy.
Tariff
Prices rang from $160 - $250.00 and we are happy to accommodate guests travelling on business or pleasure. Havelock House B&B is very large and spacious family home , with plenty of room for everyone!
Location and Attractions
Close to beaches, bush walks, orchards and wineries.The city of Hastings is 10 minutes away and the renowned Art Deco city Napier a 20 minute coastal drive. Another short drive will find you at the world of the famous Gannet colony of Cape Kidnappers or the stunning Waimarama and Ocean beaches. Cape kidnappers golf course is also at our doorstep - rated one of the worlds best.
The Hawkes Bay is arguably the finest wine growing region of New Zealand with 39 wineries, many with their own restaurants, cafes and delicatessens. Havelock North village with it's wide range of restaurants, art galleries, boutique shopping and cafes are only 5 minutes down the road.
Your Hosts
Diana and Jeff have travelled extensively all over the world and look forward to sharing their experience with you, Jeff is an engineer and enjoys all sport and the occasional game of snooker. Diana has a wide range of interests including gardening, cookery, walking and tennis. She has had a lot of experience in travel and tourism having worked for the tourist board for many years before starting her own bed & breakfast.
They have been entertaining guests in their home in the UK and now in Hawkes Bay for over 14 years and will help you to get the most from your stay here in the sunny Hawkes Bay, and day trips such as wine tours, golf, fishing or Art Deco tours are so easy to arrange from here.
