Taurikura Lodge offers our guests a unique purpose built Lodge accomodation with only 4 intimate boutique ensuite luxury rooms in rural New Zealand. A tariff is designed around your individual needs. On offer - luxurious king size beds, luxuriant linens, fine dining - all meals, individual health treatments/massage,farm experience and courtesy airport transfers.
Taurikura Lodge has been awarded a Qualmark Enviro Gold rating. Enviro-Gold is the highest rating achievable under Qualmark Green, and we have a huge amount of eco friendly responsible tourism initiatives operating. At Taurikura Lodge we care about the environment so we have 2 wind turbines to generate power, energy saving lighting, heat pump hot water cylinders, excellent insulation, double glazing, eco sensitive products and we try our very best to compost, re-use and recycle.
Taurikura Lodge offers the perfect location to unwind. This haven of tranquility and luxury lies just 40km from the centre of Christchurch.

All our well appointed rooms have large kingsize beds with luxurious bed linen 550 threadcount sheets, electric blankets, goosedown duvets, heatpump, TV/DVD with hd, phone and wireless internet connection.
Every Room has an ensuite with wet floor shower, robes and slippers, complimentary organic shower gel and bathroom products.
Facing the sun, overlooking the pool, spa area and an open paddock facing the sunset in the evening. Guest suites are separated from the main living areas and are peaceful and relaxing.

Activities
Our guests can enjoy lounging in the spa or heated pool but if you are more adventurous we offer a wide range of kiwi experience activities such as mountain biking, quad biking through the native bush or forest, hiking the rail trail or a hands on farm experience with the dairy cows.
Massage & Health Treatments
Our qualified aromatherapist will provide you with exceptional individual health treatments. We use only organic essential oils for their medicinal and therapeutic properties in massage, inhalation, topically, footbaths or as a bath treatment. Aromatherapy works on a holistic level by addressing the physical body, mind, emotions and spirit. Aromatherapy focuses on the development of wellbeing and enjoyment of life in a system of self-responsibility. It is a healing process in the capable hands of someone who can translate any concerns into a revitalizing and nurturing treatment.
Your individual experience can be anything from a full body massage, facial, Indian head massage, hands and feet, reflexology, holistic pulsing, lymphatic drainage, detox or a little bit of everything. Remember, at Taurikura Lodge we are here to nourish and revive you.
Fine Dining
Your fine dining experience will be created from locally sourced seasonal produce from the Canterbury and Banks Peninsula region, eg: Akaroa Salmon, Canterbury lamb, aged beef and pork.
Each quality cuisine course will be complimented by matching Canterbury wines. The region is recognized for award winning Pinot and Riesling varieties. After your day enjoying the activities of Taurikura Lodge enjoy the ambience of the guest lounge with a pre-dinner cocktail. Then let your gourmet experience begin in the formal guest dining room.
