Nestled on the slopes of Balmoral Hill, with tranquil gardens and lovely panoramic viewes, Coastal Cliffs is perfectly situated only minutes away from the bars and cafes of the popular seaside village of Sumner and is just 15 minutes from Christchurch City Centre.
Accommodation
The atmosphere is relaxed and the coffee is hot at this home; it is the perfect escape! From the moment you arrive, you will know this is more than just a bed for the night. The accommodation and decor are distinctive and the finishing touches are personal. With the choice of two rooms - both with private access, Coastal Cliffs is perfect for couples, business travellers, families and holiday-makers.
Coastal Cliffs Bed and Breakfast has a unique situation where we provide two separate units within the family home, yet each is completely private due to each unit owning its own private entry.
Private access, secure off-street parking, en-suite and in-room fridge with tea and coffee making facilities ensure that our guests have the freedom to come and go as they please. The upstairs room offers Twin Share accommodation with two King-size single beds; while the downstairs retreat has a Queen-size bed and private lounge area.Both rooms are quipped with a TV and DVD player, plus wireless internet is accessible throughout.
Facilities
Our delicious Breakfast is served in the family room or outside on the deck; either way you can enjoy the panoramic views. We use only the select smoked bacon,local free range eggs,and vegetables and herbs grown in the garden in season. Other meals can be catered upon request, however as our guest you also have full use of our kitchen, gas BBQ and outdoor wood-fire pizza fires.
On the doorstep of the downstairs retreat you can bask in the 35ft solar heated swimming pool or just soak up the sun on the sheltered timber decks, surrounded by lovely gardens. Overhead white doves will come and go from their purpose-built hutches.

Christchurch City offers visitors a myriad of cultural, shopping and business opportunities and is easily accessible by bus. Christchurch is the host of many types of events throughout both Summer & Winter. Being a dynamic and vibrant city, Christchurch can boast a large range of events like Flower Shows, Art Festivals, New Zealand Trotting Cup, World Buskers Festival, Agricultural Show and many sporting events including one of the hosting grounds for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Coastal Cliffs is in close proximity to all these events yet secluded enough to be relaxing and quiet with stunning views towards the ocean, mountains and the city lights.
