Built in 1901 from native Kauri, this Christchurch Bed and Breakfast, Chestnuts On Holly, has been authentically restored and reflects elegance and charm. This tranquil haven has been designed to be a home away from home - it is exclusive and intimate with personalized hospitality.
Accommodation
There are three bedrooms to choose from, each tastefully furnished and fitted with a delightful double or queen bed with wool underlay and electric blanket. The rooms are warm in the winter and lovely and cool in the summer. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms.
Delectable gourmet breakfasts are a specialty, using fresh, local, seasonal produce served in the formal dining room. Guests can choose from a variety of scrumptious cooked breakfasts or a lighter continental breakfast of cereals and fresh fruit. There is a gas fire in the dining room for comfortable dining on colder days, and a fridge and microwave are also situated in the dining room for guests use.
Feel free to spend your evening relaxing in our guests' lounge where you will in find an array of New Zealand books, games, and a full DVD Home Theatre System for your enjoyment. There is a telephone available for guests use in the entrance hallway. The phone has been enabled to make local calls and 0800 numbers and can also be used with a Pay-Card. There is a laptop, which has internet access, available for guests use in the entrance hall. Guests with wireless laptops can also make use of our wireless internet system.
