The Nest is a fully self-contained 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home, and is a unique holiday home in a private, tranquil setting. The Nest is situated in one of Christchurch's most loved hill suburbs, nestled in a garden of native bush with views from the living areas of our Estuary, Sea and Mountains (snow covered in the winter) beyond. We are very close (all within 10 minutes drive) to Christchurch's best beaches with excellent cafes and restaurants, Lyttelton Harbour, Tamaki Heritage Village, a golf driving range, and a nine hole golf course, the Gondola and hillside walks with breathtaking views to the Southern Alps. The Nest sleeps five people and is available as a holiday home or as short term rental. Pick up from Airport or City by arrangement. Accommodation and Facilities The Nest is built on three levels (four if you count the garage), with extensive decking for maximum enjoyment of it's hillside setting, and there is a lot of inside and outside living space for total relaxation. The Nest has a wood fire place for cosiness as well as a heat pump, and extensive use of natural timber adds to the ambience of this home. The Nest has TV, stereo, DVD and BBQ, and there is a small library of NZ books for your reading enjoyment. The Nest has now got Internet access including wireless. The main bedroom (The "Fantail" room)has a queen bed (plus a single) with an ensuite bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the garden. The "Kingfisher" room also has a queen bed with a private bathroom two steps away, and it also overlooks the garden. The "Waxeye" room has 2 single beds. The Nest has a fully equipped kitchen, and easy access garage parking for two cars. Children are welcome and we have a cot and a highchair available for you.
