Hotel DeBrett offers a truly boutique small luxury hotel experience in the heart of Auckland City. Settled in Auckland CBD, Hotel DeBrett links two unique precincts - High Street's hip fashion and Shortland Street's tailored commerce. Hotel DeBrett is located centrally, in Auckland's fashion precinct of High St. It is a short walk from the restaurants and bars of Viaduct Harbour, the Sky Tower, and the Ferry Building. It is surrounded by art galleries, theatres and the Auckland Art Gallery and is within easy reach of the Auckland Museum and the shopping and restaurants of Parnell and Ponsonby. Hotel DeBrett's iconic building has been stylishly reinterpreted into a 25-room luxury boutique hotel. Every room is individually designed and complimented with eclectic furniture, New Zealand art and photography. The famous Housebar has been meticulously restored as Auckland's premier meeting place. A private drawing room has been created for exclusive use by hotel guests - while a glass roofed atrium and courtyard form the central focal point for guests, diners and locals to mingle. Rooms and Suites At Hotel DeBrett we have 25 spacious rooms and suites, each with its own distinctive style and mood. All feature our bespoke carpet, designed by Michelle Deery, hand woven from 100% New Zealand wool, it is a dominant feature throughout the rooms, and invites you to kick off your shoes and let your feet sink in. All bathrooms feature black penny round mosaic tiles which reference the original art deco honeycomb mosaics, and are complemented by the polished black granite floors, warmed by underfloor heating. Bathrooms have divinely deep baths and stand alone showers with both rain and slide shower heads, salon quality hair dryers, underfloor heating, magnifying mirrors, mirror demisters and both velvet and towelling robes. Soft white walls and curtains create a backdrop for an eclectic mix of furniture, fittings and artwork collected by Michelle in her travels around New Zealand, and internationally, over a number of years.
